New Intentions for 2021, Yoga Nidra with Myriam Bartu

A yoga nidra practice inviting you to connect to your heart's desire for 2021 and set an intention to strengthen something in yourself or nurture a more accepting and relaxed attitude to a part of yourself or your life. This is a live recording of a nidra recorded for a couple on the evening of January 6th in Hong Kong. The nidra ends with the poem "Clearing" by Martha Postlewaite.

Children's Nidra on feeling Safe and Peaceful

This 10 minute nidra practice begins with a muscle tensing and releasing exercise, takes children to a safe place and guides them to connect to the safety, peace and love in their hearts. The recording is accompanied by the gentle healing and calming sounds of Tibetan singing bowls. This live recording was made in December 2020 besides my 11 year old son for all children having to navigate life with school closures and uncertainty.

Autumn leaves

This 30 minute live nidra was recorded during one of my yoga classes. It is an invitation to let go of all things that don't serve us any longer, just like the trees let go of their leaves to prepare for winter season. It is also an invitation to tune in with the energy of autumn, taking a walk in a beautiful forest, connecting with the wisdom of the trees and the silence of nature.

Embracing Kali Nidra

This 23min Yoga Nidra was recorded live at our Women's Yoga weekly class at The Life Centre, Islington, London on Samhain (Halloween) 31 October 2017. It is inspired by the energy of the Goddess Kali. The name Kali coming from the root sanskrit word Kal meaning time, this Nidra is about coming home to the present moment, the now. The rotation honours the deep feminine in every part of the body, and there is the welcoming of the void (a space which Kali's sky-clad dark form can be said to represent) and seeing what arises.
