Hello Yoga offers community & private Hatha / Vinyasa / Yin Yoga classes, Yoga Nidra workshops, and full day / half day Retreats in the mid Argyll area.
Cost: please see class/event for more details
Duration: Classes are generally one hour, but feel free to turn up a little earlier to do your own warm up or relaxation.
Location and times: I have recently relocated to Scotland and am in the process of setting up new classes. Please contact me if you think there is the need in your community for a new class or if you would like to book a private Yoga class.
What to expect: Wear something comfortable - joggers or leggings are perfect. If you have a Yoga Mat please bring it along, otherwise you can use one of mine. Each class starts with relaxation and meditation followed by a number of exercises to warm up the body. Then we will work on Yoga Asanas (or poses) to help cleanse the body, improve flexibility and strength. Breath is the centre of Yoga practise so all movements and positions will be linked to the breath. Finally the class finishes with a deep relaxation.
What should I feel: Yoga is a hard and disciplined practise, but it is accessible to everyone. It doesn't matter if you are not strong or flexible or if you have any injuries; Yoga encourages you to work with your body, not against it. It is normal that you might feel frustrated or disappointed if you are struggling with the poses at the start but Yoga helps us to let go of the high expectations we have of ourselves and to enjoy and relish in the present moment (even those moments where we can't touch our toes!).
Qualifications: I completed my Yoga Teacher Training (YTT200hrs) in India back in 2013 at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Dhanwantari Ashram (part of an International school of Yoga) since then I have continued to study & practise with various Yoga traditions and practises to further my understanding of the total Yoga experience. From Ashram life in India to Yoga Nidra Teacher Training workshops with Total Yoga Nidra, I love to learn and be able to share these practises with my students
