Having worked for over ten years in a busy corporate environment as a sales professional, I decided to take a change in direction and deepen my knowledge and practice of Yoga. After studying with The International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre in India, I returned to the UK to teach Yoga in the Bristol area. My teaching style follows classical Hatha Yoga teachings informed by the Sivananda tradition and the teachings of Swami Sivananda and Swami Vishnu-devananda. In 2011, I became a mother of twin boys falling pregnant shortly after completing my Pregnancy Yoga training with Yogacampus and Uma Dinsmore-Tuli. I began to practice and teach Yoga Nidra on a regular basis during this precious time and found that it revitalised me and provided a safe haven in which I could completely connect with my twin boys in utero. In early 2012 I went on to train further with Sitaram in the practice and teaching of Yoga Nidra. I have recently coordinated a team of teachers in Bristol and the South West to deliver Yoga Nidra to the local Yoga Community on a weekly basis. This is a practice for our time. It is an essential tool for bringing us back to ourselves, regaining our health, vitality, clarity of mind and sense of balance in our lives. I feel that there is no time to lose in sharing this with our friends, family and the community around us. My approach to my teaching comes from humility, kindness, joy, an open mind and a yearning to learn from each experience.
