Looking back on life, it is faith, determination and courage that have served Mel best – that, and a lot of yoga! Discovering a new way to reconnect with her body, to heal old traumas, and find a place of stability on this earth, Mel believes that yoga offers everyone the chance to fully engage with life simply by rediscovering the freedom that comes when we open our hearts, quieten our minds and link body and breath.
Mel has trained in hatha yoga, restorative yoga, pregnancy yoga as well as yoga nidra. In September 2014 Mel undertook 5 days intensive study with James Reeves, completing the Level 1 iRest yoga nidra training and in June 2016 Mel will spent a week with Uma in Ireland for a week's intensive Total Yoga Nidra teacher training. Mel has also taken personal study of the Bihar Yoga Nidra text, as well as practicing yoga nidra on a daily basis.
