Making space for grief

Making space for grief

Vocal Mode: Spoken word

Language: English - US

This 25min invites you to create a space to be present with grief. We start by connecting to your resource of your wellbeing (an ever present, unchanging state of nature in which all sensation arises and falls) as a container that holds your sensations of grief. Having grounded in the body and with the breath space is offered for you to call forth your sensations of grief in the way you would like, in images, memories, colour or feelings and to be with them a while with no agenda. Then we return to the resource and close practice with the understanding that you can visit your grief again if you would like, whenever you want. You may find it useful to listen to the Nidra first before practising. Everything in this Nidra is as always just an invitation that you are welcome to take or not, as you like.

We have chosen to offer these audio recordings freely. We do this because we know yoga nidra to be a valuable practice which we want to share widely. It does, however take a fair bit of time and effort to upload the recordings and maintain this site so you can use it.

If you feel you have benefitted from what you have heard or learnt from this site then please do consider making a contribution towards the maintenance and upkeep of the site. We’d appreciate that, and it would help to ensure we can continue to offer this services freely.

Thank You, Uma Dinsmore-Tuli and Nirlipta Tuli, Co-Founders, Yoga Nidra Network
