This is a 4-7-8 breath meditation nidra recording I made at a previous restorative workshop immersion I run. In this recording, you are guided to settle and relax through the body followed by a soft visual meditation on the breath that builds up to the rhythm of 4-7-8 (inhale to the count of 4, pause for 7 with a slow, steady exhale for 8 counts). This nidra is accompanied with my handcrafted singing bowls, sound resonance that lull you deep into your subconscious states of Theta brainwaves where deep rest, repair and rejuvenation takes place. There are no instructions to bring you out of this nidra so you can listen to and fall asleep seamlessly into deep slumber.
Note: you may want to turn volume down as the singing bowls are quite audible as recording device was situated near the bowls.
We have chosen to offer these audio recordings freely. We do this because we know yoga nidra to be a valuable practice which we want to share widely. It does, however take a fair bit of time and effort to upload the recordings and maintain this site so you can use it.
If you feel you have benefitted from what you have heard or learnt from this site then please do consider making a contribution towards the maintenance and upkeep of the site. We’d appreciate that, and it would help to ensure we can continue to offer this services freely.
