Slumber: a yoga nidra to welcome sleep as a treasured and beloved guest

Vocal Mode: Spoken word

Language: English - UK

A luxurious 45 minute yoga nidra to welcome sleep as a treasured and beloved guest. Like any treasured visitor, we begin by preparing the space to be as inviting as possible – the perfect balance of light and dark, warm and cool. Just right for you to snuggle up in bed and drift off with this simple nidra. We begin to draw in the senses by focusing on the somatic experience of the breath – first on the right side of the body, then on the left, then both sides together. I invite you to journey around the body three times: the surface of the skin softening and releasing, then the flesh, muscles, sinew, tendons, fascia melting and finally the bones sinking deeper and deeper.

We have chosen to offer these audio recordings freely. We do this because we know yoga nidra to be a valuable practice which we want to share widely. It does, however take a fair bit of time and effort to upload the recordings and maintain this site so you can use it.

If you feel you have benefitted from what you have heard or learnt from this site then please do consider making a contribution towards the maintenance and upkeep of the site. We’d appreciate that, and it would help to ensure we can continue to offer this services freely.
