Book signings and collective acts of restfulness!
Uma has been invited as a special visiting guest speaker to this event. She is on her travels promoting her new book in Turtle Island, and is honoured to be invited as guest speaker to address this special gathering.
Welcome to an afternoon immersion in Yoga Nidrā and Yoni Shakti Yoga: Rest, Nest & Connect in Community. Join us for cosmic naps and revolutionary rest during a rare teaching from Visiting Guest Speaker, Yoga Nidrā expert, Dr Umā Dinsmore-Tuli, PhD ADHD, Author, Whistleblower and Advocate for Intuition, Creativity and Rematriation.
Umā brings decades of devotion to this moment. Author of six books including the new illustrated encyclopaedia of Yoga Nidra: The Power of Rest Nidrā Shakti, and Yoni Shakti and The Celtic School of Yoga, Umā’s work bridges scholarship, activism and embodied mysticism.
We invite you to spend the afternoon laying down your bones, dear ones. To become horizontal. To let the spine unhook from striving. To let the jaw unclench from holding the world together.
This is a collective act of rest and resistance. Simply stopping carries voltage. Refusing urgency. Refusing exhaustion as identity. Refusing the story that worth is measured by output.
Umā’s call is simple and seismic. To rematriate. To return to the loving wisdom of the body’s ancient pace. To trust intuition over relentless rational control. To feel the land of your own body as sovereign territory.
In this session we rest and move together. A field of humans choosing stillness and nourishing rhythmic movement at the same hour. Listening inward. Dreaming collectively. Restoring rhythmic cycles in our own nervous systems and in the wider body of the Earth.
When we lie down consciously, we interrupt the trance of overdoing. We soften the grip of performance. We create space for creativity and instinct to rise. When we move with compassion and rhythm, we nurture our bodies and restore our vitality.
This is not indulgence. It is restoration. It is a remembering that life moves in waves and seasons. That action requires integration. That revolution needs rhythm.
So, come. Bring a blanket. Bring a cosy nest. Bring sheepskins and blankets and pillows and mats, bring bolsters and cakes to share. Bring your breath. Bring your beautiful tired body.
Push back gently. Close your eyes. Let the Earth hold you. Enjoy your cosmic nap and luscious Yoni Shakti movement. Welcome home to your resting self.
