This is one of the yoga nidrā practices included in the Treasury of Transcripts in ‘Nidrā Shakti: The Power of Rest – An Illustrated Encyclopaedia of Yoga Nidrā’.
This 22-minute yoga nidrā was improvised as part of a Total Yoga Nidrā Immersion (Foundation) weekend in the Kagyu Samye Dzong Tibetan Buddhist Centre in London, in 2015. It was intended to offer a medita- tive open space for creative inspiration and problem solving. It uses the Himalayan Institute’s ‘Sixty-Two Points’ shāva yatra, or rotation of consciousness, which traditionally guides the placement of many blue stars around the body. It also incorporates a ‘pairs of opposites held together’ technique common in iRest yoga nidrā.
