This is one of the yoga nidrā practices included in the Treasury of Transcripts in ‘Nidrā Shakti: The Power of Rest – An Illustrated Encyclopaedia of Yoga Nidrā’.
This is the first of twelve varied nidras (#66 – 77) were all created by Nirlipta Tuli and Uma Dinsmore- Tuli for education and training purposes. They were delivered during an intensive ten-day Total Yoga Nidrā teacher and facilitator training course on retreat in Cherai Beach, Vypin Island, in the South Indian state of Kerala, in the December 2018.
These nidras are a selection from the complete curriculum of the course that includes lectures, exercises and further nidrā practices, each of these transcripts delivers a distinct aspect of the course content (e.g. components of yoga nidrā, or methods of delivery) and each is structured according to the same set of nine components. Many include references to the retreat environment, in a quiet resort between the Arabian Sea and backwater lagoons.
