This forty minute yoga nidra practice is intended to provide support as we encounter the inevitability of change. It helps us to be with uncertainty and to encounter loss. In particular it invites insight into the nature of perimenopausal experiences. The central image is of being at the centre of the womb-rose room, as each petal detaches and blows away. This image and the quality of feeling that surrounds it arrived in my heart during a practice of yoga nidra as I was writing the Bagalmukhi / perimenopause chapter of Yoni Shakti in the writer in residency cottage provided by the Hosking Houses Trust (thank you to Sarah Hosking!). This is a recording of that practice as described on pp 450-1 of Yoni Shakti. I hope that it brings comfort and understanding during any period of loss and change.
We have chosen to offer these audio recordings freely. We do this because we know yoga nidra to be a valuable practice which we want to share widely. It does, however take a fair bit of time and effort to upload the recordings and maintain this site so you can use it.
If you feel you have benefitted from what you have heard or learnt from this site then please do consider making a contribution towards the maintenance and upkeep of the site. We’d appreciate that, and it would help to ensure we can continue to offer this services freely.
Thank You, Uma Dinsmore-Tuli and Nirlipta Tuli, Co-Founders, Yoga Nidra Network
