Austeja Pozeraite

United Kingdom
Yoga Nidra Teacher Training (with another organisaton)

Austeja first encountered yoga as a moving meditation whilst studying at university and since then it has been an on-going inspiring journey towards the discovery of the true self. She found that the fast pace of life where you are being constantly bombarded with messages, encouraged and even forced to compete to get a better job, better life, or just to get on the train during the rush hour made stress and anxiety more common in her daily life. All these factors combined to make it rather impossible to live in peace. Moreover, Austeja was suffering from the severe back ache and was advised by specialists to try yoga. To her surprise she noticed the mental and physical benefits of yoga after just a few sessions, and so continued the practice. Yoga taught Austeja how to stop and rest and breathe….“Since then yoga teachings not just assisted in soothing away mental tensions and increased my flexibility and stamina, but also continue to subtly benefit all aspects of my life.” An extensive yoga education with teachers from around the world has had a insightful effect on Austeja’s style of teaching, which is a blend of Patanjali’s Asthanga, eight-fold path, flowing Vinyasa sequencing and T. Krishnamacharya’s teachings. She has taught many, from blind students to marathon runners, triathletes and yoga teachers in UK as well as overseas. Austeja has been fortunate to study Asthanga yoga with teachers such as David Swenson and Lino Miele, Jivamukti yoga with Stewart Gilchrist and Vinyasa Flow with Rebecca Ffrench. Austeja is a certified Pregnancy Yoga teacher (Yogacampus, UK) and she has also been practicing Yoga Nidra with Swami Pragyamurti Saraswati, and is certified to teach this remarkable practice by Satyananda Yoga Center, UK. We have chosen to offer these audio recordings freely. We do this because we know yoga nidra to be a valuable practice which we want to share widely. It does, however take a fair bit of time and effort to upload the recordings and maintain this site so you can use it.

If you feel you have benefitted from what you have heard or learnt from this site then please do consider making a contribution towards the maintenance and upkeep of the site. We’d appreciate that, and it would help to ensure we can continue to offer this services freely.
