Yoni Shakti Well Woman Yoga Therapy Teacher Training
Dr. Casie Danenhauer is the primary doctor of physical therapy and owner of Enlighten Physical Therapy: Conscious Care for Pelvic Health in Santa Monica, CA. Her mission is to provide conscious care for her pelvic health clients through education and embodiment practices. She combines her skills as a pelvic floor PT and yoga instructor to facilitate a unique and holistic path towards healing. Casie’s training is multimodal, from many different origins, and influenced by many of her teachers. Her philosophy maintains a balance between evidence-based science and an integrative consideration of the physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual systems for maximizing whole body health. She credits her training in traditional PT school as well as through many yoga trainings and continuing education courses including Uma’s Well-Woman Yoga Training in shaping her offerings.
As someone with a history of pelvic floor dysfunction and pelvic pain and years of experience in the field, she appreciates that a holistic approach to wellness is the most efficient and effective path towards pelvic health – and to whole system health in general. Casie uses the biopsychosocial model as a framework for working with clients. This approach looks like a cohesive blend of manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, physical yoga postures, breathing activities, and meditation. She integrates individualized exploration of nutrition, energy, emotions, stress management, and lifestyle into every healing program. The key to her approach is balance, open communication, and empowerment of her clients to take charge of their own health. The benefits to this approach are exponentially greater than simply œcuring ones pain. ‹Casies œconscious care allows for the opportunity to live more mindfully, enjoy abundance of health and joy, and engage in a richer life.
When Casie is not seeing clients privately for physical therapy or therapeutic yoga her offerings include hosting pelvic health wellness events around the world. She has a passion for creating community through education and connecting women through her 1-3 day long workshops and her “Retreat to Your Root” women’s wellness and pelvic floor-based retreats. She also participates in many guest teaching opportunities for pelvic health and yoga continuing education seminars including Uma’s upcoming 2019 Well-Woman Yoga Teacher Training in San Francisco.
