I am a British Wheel of Yoga and Yoga Alliance (USA) registered yoga teacher and a graduate of Yogacampus, which is widely recognised as one of the leading yoga teacher training courses in the UK. I also recently started studying at the School of African and Oriental Studies (SOAS) for an MA in Traditions of Yoga and Meditation. I have an extensive background in movement and dance. After graduating from The Laban Centre in 1997 I performed nationally and internationally as a professional dancer for over 12 years with many leading companies, including The National Youth Dance Company, The Cholmondeleys & The Featherstonehaughs and Protein Dance. I am a qualified Pilates teacher and hold accreditation with both the Pilates Foundation and Body Control Pilates. I have taught yoga and Pilates, both in the this country and overseas, for numerous gyms, studios, dance companies and within the super-yacht industry. I enjoy working with all levels of ability and have worked with many different client groups including the elderly, those in physical rehabilitation, professional dancers, athletes, business leaders, models and Hollywood actors. Perhaps (un)surprisingly after such a long history of physical practice, I have discovered yoga nidra to be one of the most effective and transformational practices that I have experienced. I see it as the perfect companion/antidote to city dwelling and have become somewhat evangelical about sharing it, having experienced how good and vital the practice makes me feel. I am available to teach yoga nidra privately on a 1:2:1 basis, or in workplaces, either as a standalone practice, or in combination with a vinyasa/dynamic yoga (asana) or Pilates class. Occasionally I teach yoga nidra in the context of my regular group yoga classes in Sydenham, South East London, or as part of daily workshops I might be involved in.
