Graham Burns

United Kingdom
Yoga Nidra Teacher Training (with another organisaton)

Acknowledged by the Evening Standard as one of London’s top teachers of yoga nidra, Graham Burns spent 23 years working as a commercial lawyer in the City of London and even longer playing competitive sport, giving him a unique perspective on how yoga and relaxation can help with the stresses of daily life. Graham incorporates yoga nidra techniques in many of his classes at The Life Centre (Notting Hill and Islington) and Triyoga (Primrose Hill), as well as teaching regular (and very popular!) yoga nidra workshops at both centres. Initially trained as a yoga teacher in California in 2000, Graham has studied with Yogarupa Rod Stryker in the tradition of the Himalayan Institute since 2001, and it is through Rod’s teachings that Graham first discovered the profound power and beauty of yoga nidra. Graham is a member of the teaching faculty of the Yogacampus Yoga Teacher Training Diploma course, where, as well as teaching meditation and Sanskrit, he is able to indulge his passion for the study of yoga history and philosophy. Graham holds a Master’s degree in Indian religions from the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Stuudies, where he specialised in exploring the historical roots of contemporary yoga, and is currently studying for a PhD on the Vedic Upanishads. He is well known for his humorous and light-hearted approach to teaching, while still preserving the best elements of the yoga tradition. Contribute to the Yoga Nidra Network

We have chosen to offer these audio recordings freely. We do this because we know yoga nidra to be a valuable practice which we want to share widely. It does, however take a fair bit of time and effort to upload the recordings and maintain this site so you can use it.

If you feel you have benefitted from what you have heard or learnt from this site then please do consider making a contribution towards the maintenance and upkeep of the site. We’d appreciate that, and it would help to ensure we can continue to offer this services freely.

Thank You, Uma Dinsmore-Tuli and Nirlipta Tuli, Co-Founders, Yoga Nidra Network
