Yoga Nidra Teacher Training (with another organisaton)

Karen has been practicing yoga since the early 2000s when she took her first class with a friend. Then in late 2010, a job change fueled her decision to pursue yoga teacher training and in November 2011 received her 200 hour certification from Bhumi’s Yoga and Wellness in Columbia Station, Ohio.

Since then, Karen has been teaching classes, specializing in stress relief and relaxation. In keeping with that goal the opportunity came up to study Yoga Nidra with Yogi Amrit Desai. Yoga Nidra, also known as yogic sleep, is a guided meditation experience that takes clients in to a state of consciousness which is conducive to deep relaxation and healing. She received a certification in Yoga Nidra from the Amrit Institute in the spring of 2013 as well as becoming a Reiki Master in December 2016.

Karen’s growing mission of providing accessible yoga, meditation and Reiki to help everyone realize the dream of a grounded and balanced life is strong. She finished a mentorship with YogaReach in Cleveland, Ohio in Spring 2018. In the program she learned to teach yoga to individuals with various challenges such as Down’s Syndrome, Autism, Parkinson’s Disease, and Arthritis. She has certification in Trauma-sensitive yoga and finished her 500 hour teacher certification in Spring 2019.

She is currently pusuing certification as a Yoga Therapist through Breathing Deeply Yoga Therapy.

Contribute to the Yoga Nidra Network

We have chosen to offer these audio recordings freely. We do this because we know yoga nidra to be a valuable practice which we want to share widely. It does, however take a fair bit of time and effort to upload the recordings and maintain this site so you can use it.

If you feel you have benefitted from what you have heard or learnt from this site then please do consider making a contribution towards the maintenance and upkeep of the site. We’d appreciate that, and it would help to ensure we can continue to offer this services freely.

Thank You, Uma Dinsmore-Tuli and Nirlipta Tuli, Co-Founders, Yoga Nidra Network
