Yoni Shakti Well Woman Yoga Therapy Teacher Training

Hi, I’m Nalini and am delighted to be sharing Womb Yoga in Horsham, West Sussex, and in Reigate, Surrey.

I am a holistic therapist, yoga, yoga nidra and meditation teacher and also a menstrual and menopause coach.

My background stems from living in a yoga community in Italy for many years (Ananda, Assisi) where I gained a solid yoga and meditation practice which I have added to with Uma’s Womb Yoga (and teach mainly this as it is the absolute right thing for women!).  I am also an iRest yoga nidra teacher.

I started working consciously with my menstrual cycle in Italy and it was a life-changing experience!  It taught me how to honour myself as a woman, to pace myself by working in harmony with the different energies we go through on each menstrual cycle, and really harness that as a way to live. I trained with Alexandra Pope (Red School) when by grace, she came to Italy to do the training on Menstrual Cycle Awareness.  For women, if we aren’t in touch fully with the power and healing of the menstrual cycle, we are missing out on our fundamental nature.  The more I worked with my cycle, the more deeply I lived my life.  It is an absolute necessity for all women everywhere.  It is also the key practice that sets us up well for coming into the amazing rite of passage of menopause.

I coach on both the menstrual cycle and menopause, and doing Uma’s training in Womb Yoga has integrated everything sublimely.  I feel what I offer to women is deeply healing, empowering and joyful!  I hold sacred space and also provide ‘permission to rest’ with the restorative and healing  practice of yoga nidra.  Rest for women is unnegotiable and we need to learn to really honour our time, ourselves and our hearts and souls.  When we allow ourselves time out to do this, we have much more energy (and far less resentment!), to do the things we are called to do.

I hold classes, workshops and retreats, and it is my absolute joy to hold safe space for women and to see the delight in women when they come together through these delicious practices!

I am also a Dance of Awareness teacher and hold classes through ‘Dancemantra’ (Horsham’s dance collective which I run with yoga elder Kathryn Premshakti Varley) and these are a brilliant way for women to de-stress, find voice and express, have fun and again, be held in a safe and healing space.  These exceptional classes include Womb Yoga and Yoga Nidra.

I hold a few workshops a year called ‘Practical Magic’ which are all about herbal healing, making products with wild flowers and herbs.  These are about women becoming the healers of our beloved Mother Earth by working with her bountiful natural healing plants and using them for the health and well-being of ourselves and our communities.  I sometimes combine these with womb yoga and nidra in ‘Make Your Yoga Wild!’ workshops which are a lot of fun, educational, and you come home with a handful of products and the know-how to make them yourselves. I see women as healers of our earth and one of the ways we can do this is by working with her magic and depending less on the chemical, animal tested products so commonly available.

I love what I do and hope you will come and join me.

All blessings

We have chosen to offer these audio recordings freely. We do this because we know yoga nidra to be a valuable practice which we want to share widely. It does, however take a fair bit of time and effort to upload the recordings and maintain this site so you can use it.

If you feel you have benefitted from what you have heard or learnt from this site then please do consider making a contribution towards the maintenance and upkeep of the site. We’d appreciate that, and it would help to ensure we can continue to offer this services freely.

Thank You, Uma Dinsmore-Tuli and Nirlipta Tuli, Co-Founders, Yoga Nidra Network
