I am a recovering get-shit-done girl who threw all life plans into the wind in 2016 and went on a life-changing journey.
Slightly woo-woo and quite practical, using yoga nidra, life coaching and yoga therapy techniques, I’m here to show you a different way.
Originally from Hawkes Bay in New Zealand, I lived in the Waikato for 11 years and have spent the last two years moving about the place.
You’ll find me exploring the wild places on our magical earth. In 2019 I am returning to South America to hike and explore Patagonia and Peru.
Trust me, I haven’t always been this free.
Most of my life was spent following ‘the plan’. I left school at 17 and went straight to University. I quickly ticked off all the big items, masters degree, corporate career, management position, love & marriage, animals and house ownership.
In 2016 I suddenly realised I was unhappy and disconnected.
I started to listen, I couldn’t ignore the gentle voice within that was willing me to come home to myself. To let go of the plan, find out who I was and what it felt like to be free.
Six months short of my 30th birthday I left my husband, sold my business and bought a one way ticket to South America. What followed was two years of adventure. I missed flights across seas, discovered a love for hiking, became a yoga teacher specialising in movement and meditation and settled in Scotland.
In 2017, in the dark winter of Scotland, I came home to myself. I embraced being alone, hibernating and switching off from the world. I put my needs first, tried new things and discovered my creative voice.
Why Rest & Rhythm?
I designed Rest & Rhythm for my 28 year old self. The rushed, tired and anxious woman who was following the plan. Who didn’t know how to relax or to be free.
Rest & Rhythm is a six month coaching and nidra program. We meet 1:1 via video call each month, and work through six critical conversation themes. Each session includes yoga nidra and yoga therapy healing techniques, as well as practical coaching and advice.
A bit practical and slightly ‘woo-woo’, the program is based on my journey of homecoming.

The serious stuff
I am a 200RYT yoga teacher, Total Yoga Nidra Teacher and have 150 hours of yoga therapy training.
I have a Masters in Management Communication (Hons) and 6+ years project & operational management experience. I won Young Professional of the Year 2016 for the Public Sector in New Zealand.
