Yasmine Khan Yoga Biography.

Yasmine’s yoga journey started when she was fourteen years old, an avid drama and dance student looking for ways to manage impending exams and managing a difficult family situation, she took her first yoga class. ‘I remember it clearly, the room , the postures but most of all I remember how I felt, physically and albeit less obviously at the time spiritually.’ It’s that feeling that takes me back to my mat daily and reminds me to remain open and flexible once I leave it to start my day.

Over the years no matter what has presented itself in my life , the one constant has been my practice and the one thing that I continue to discover in every moment is that the physical discipline of a yoga practice flows over into every other area of my world. The joy, the bliss, the sadness and the myriad of life experiences that many of us are faced with throughout a lifetime. The simple act of reminding ourselves how to breathe, whilst we synchronise with movement, gradually transforms us in body and mind.

I have been blessed and privileged to study and continue to be inspired by wonderful teachers and mentors including Lara Baumann, Nadia Narain, Kristina Karitinou and Uma Dinsmore –Tuli. I am currently deepening my understanding of Ayurveda and Yoga Nidra with a special interest in yoga for therapeutic purposes and creativity.

I chose to teach in order to be able to share a little piece of what I experience through a daily practice. I guide you through a bespoke session in the comfort and sanctuary of your own home and together I plan a session that focuses on safety and alignment whilst encouraging you to explore and discover the yoga practice that resonates with you. Styles offered vary from a Dynamic Vinyasa practice to a more gentle but equally delicious and nurturing Yin Practice. I also have a special interest in Women’s health and wellbeing and am available to guide you through Pregnancy and Post Natal Yoga. I am available for workshops and retreats upon request.

We have chosen to offer these audio recordings freely. We do this because we know yoga nidra to be a valuable practice which we want to share widely. It does, however take a fair bit of time and effort to upload the recordings and maintain this site so you can use it.

If you feel you have benefitted from what you have heard or learnt from this site then please do consider making a contribution towards the maintenance and upkeep of the site. We’d appreciate that, and it would help to ensure we can continue to offer this services freely.

Thank You, Uma Dinsmore-Tuli and Nirlipta Tuli, Co-Founders, Yoga Nidra Network
